Charter History

The defining feature of the Independence Charter School is its emphasis on music, arts, history, and geography of cultures and countries throughout the world. These themes will be implemented across the curriculum to give students as appreciation for a wide range of world cultures and languages. A key element of the school is a commitment to second language acquisition, and indeed fluency in Spanish for all students. In keeping with its focus, the program will include an optional language immersion program.
