Notice of Acceptance

How will I know if I am accepted?

  • Once your application and the signature pages are received, the Office of High School Reform will reveiw your GPA and attendance to determine if you meet the criteria.
  • A letter will be mailed to your home letting you know if you meet the criteria.
  • Students applying to Community College of Philadelphia College Excel that meet the criteria will be invited to take the CCP Placement Exam. This is used by CCP to determine if you can handle college level coursework. You must place in either the Math or English exam. You are then invited to select and register for class.
  • Students applying to Cheyney, Eastern, Holy Family, Lincoln and St. Joseph's University that meet the criteria are invited to a mandatory orientation program.
  • Holy Family and Lincoln Universities require a 3.0 GPA.
  • Eastern University requires an essay to be submitted with the application. This is used by Eastern to determine the need for additional support.
  • St. Joseph's University requires a 3.5 GPA and an essay. Students meeting this criteria are submitted to St. Joseph's for final selection.  St. Joseph's has a limited number of seats and participation is highly selective.  The essay, along with the GPA is used to help select the candidates.
