NO ACTION IS REQUIRED UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE YOUR BENEFITSOnce a year, we offer an open enrollment, this is your opportunity to make changes without a qualifying event. Addition or removal of a spouse or dependent and switching insurance plans (if employee is eligible for such a switch) are options during open enrollment. Eligible dependents are typically your spouse or domestic partner, your (or your spouse's) children to age 26. The period for Open Enrollment is every May. Any changes or updates will be effective the following July. You must submit the proper documents anytime in May in order to change your benefits for July. Throughout the year, you may add or remove dependents only within 30 days of a family status change (qualifying event) which is generally defined as a birth or death of a dependent, marriage or divorce, or your or your spouse's loss or change of employment.
