The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act was signed into law on January 8, 2002. One of the many new pieces of information you are guaranteed under NCLB is a school report card that shows you how your child's school is performing when compared to all of the other public schools in Philadelphia, as well as all other schools in Pennsylvania. Specifically, the NCLB school report card displays student achievement data in reading and mathematics so that parents and the public can see how their schools are progressing over time. In addition, there is information on student attendance for elementary and middle schools, graduation rates for high schools, and information on the percentage of teachers at all schools who are highly qualified. Where Do I Find My School's Report Card? The NCLB report cards are produced by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and can be accessed on their website at http://paayp.emetric.net/District/SchoolList/i26/126515001. To see your school's report follow these 3 steps.
The report card will be downloaded automatically to your desktop as a PDF. If you have trouble viewing this file Click Here to download Adobe Acrobat for free. To find out more about NCLB visit the Pennsylvania Department of Education website. |
